Armed Forces Veterans, Inc. has defined practices and policies with respect to the collection and use of personally identifiable information which are outlined in ArmedForcesVeterans.Org’s Privacy Policy. No part of this Agreement is intended to contradict any of our privacy policies. Since the protection of your privacy is of great importance to us, we have created this privacy policy to communicate our practices regarding the collection and dissemination of personal information that can be linked to a specific individual, such as a name, address, phone number, email address, or any other information provided to us by our members and website visitors.

This privacy policy will be updated periodically, so please be sure to reread it from time-to-time. By submitting your personal information to us, you are agreeing that we may use the information in accordance with this privacy policy.

 No Soliciting of Information or Disclosing Other Member Information

In addition, you agree to not to post, upload, display, transmit, share, store, publish or make publicly available on the Site or on any other website, or in any email or other medium of any kind, any private or personally identifiable information of any other Armed Forces Veterans, inc.’s member.

Other Restricted Activities

When you use the Site, or the Armed Forces Veterans, Inc. Services, or in the course of any interactions with, Armed Forces Veterans you agree that you will not:

Breach this agreement or any other agreement or policies that you have entered into with Armed Forces Veterans, Inc.

Violate any law, statute, ordinance, or regulation.

Act in a manner or post any comments that are threatening, harassing, defamatory, false, inaccurate, misleading, defamatory, or contain libellous content.

Post any materials or content that is offensive, discriminatory or unlawful.

Provide false, inaccurate or misleading Information.

Pay for your transactions with what we reasonably believe to be potentially fraudulent funds.

Refuse to cooperate in an investigation or provide confirmation of your identity or any information you provide to us.

Use an anonym sing or anonymous proxy or other technique to prevent is from identifying your location or your IP address.

Control an account that is linked to another account that has engaged in any of these restricted activities. We may use evidence other than the account information to determine whether you control an account in someone else's name, including but not limited to IP addresses, common business names, accounts, phone numbers and mailing addresses.

Use the services in a manner that results in or may result in complaints, disputes, claims, fees, fines, penalties and other liability to Armed Forces Veterans or you.

Post, upload, email, transmit, publish or otherwise make public any; unsolicited materials, advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or any other form of commercial or non-commercial solicitation or bulk communications whether this be via email or via posting of information on the Site.

Armed Forces Veterans Rights to User Content

All content posted by you on our website, including comments, remarks, discussions, ideas, know-how, techniques, graphics, photos, images or other materials (collectively, "User Content") will be deemed to be the property of Armed Forces Veterans, Inc., and we will be entitled to use any User Content for any purpose, without restriction (except with respect to our Privacy Policy or applicable copyright laws) or compensation to the individual who has provided this User Content. We reserve the right to remove any User Content, or other materials that may infringe copyright.

Site Content, Brands and Trademarks

You acknowledge and agree that we own all rights to our web site and all the content displayed on the site, including, but not limited to, the Armed Forces Veterans logo, domain names, images, buttons, text, data, articles, design, source code, software, photos, images and other information (collectively the "Site Content"). Our web site service, content, trademarks, service marks, trade names, images and logos are proprietary to or used with permission by us, our affiliates or agents.

You agree that Site Content may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, displayed, posted or transmitted in any form or by any means, including, but not limited to, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording, or otherwise, without OUR express prior written consent. You acknowledge that the Site Content is and shall remain the property of Armed Forces Veterans. You may not modify, transform, participate in the sale or transfer of, or create derivative or modified works based on any Site Content, in whole or in part.

Nothing on this Site should be construed as granting, by implication, estoppels, or otherwise, any license or right to use any of our Site Content or trademarks displayed on this Site, including by linking or framing, or in any networked computer environment for any purpose, is prohibited without our prior written permission. We prohibit the use of any of our trademarks as part of a link to or from any site unless establishment of such a link is approved in writing by us in advance.

 How We Collect and Use Other Information

We and our third-party service providers may collect and use Other Information in a variety of ways, including:

  • Through your browser: Certain information is collected by most browsers, such as your Media Access Control (MAC) address, device type, screen resolution, operating system version and internet browser type and version. We use this information to ensure Sites function properly and for security purposes.
  • Using cookies: Cookies are pieces of information stored directly on the device you are using. Cookies we use do not contain or capture unencrypted Personal Information. Cookies allow us to collect information such as browser type, time spent on the Site, pages visited, language preferences, and your relationship with us. resolving Members’ questions regarding use of our Site.

Flash objects: As part of our solutions for online authentication, we use Flash objects (sometimes referred to as “Local Shared Objects”) to help us recognize you and your device when you come back to the Site. For our pages running Adobe® Flash® content (demos and tutorials with moving content), we use Flash objects to determine your browser type and version of Adobe Flash for you to view the content. We never store Personal Information in these Flash object files unless encrypted. We do not use Flash objects for any online behavioral advertising purpose. Deleting cookies does not delete Flash objects. You can learn more about Flash objects - including how to control and disable them - through the Adobe interface.   • IP Address: Your IP Address is a number that is automatically assigned to the device that you are using by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). An IP Address is identified and logged automatically in our server log files whenever a user visits the Site, along with the time of the visit and the page(s) that were visited. Collecting IP Addresses is standard practice on the internet and is done automatically by many web sites. We use IP Addresses for purposes such as calculating Site usage levels, helping diagnose server problems, for compliance and security purposes and administering the Site.


Aggregated and De-identified Data: Aggregated and De-identified Data is data that we may create or compile from various sources, including but not limited to accounts and transactions. This information, which does not identify individual account holders, is used for our business purposes, which may include offering products or services, research, marketing or analyzing market trends, and other purposes consistent with applicable laws.

 Financial Information:

If you choose to make an online donation to the Armed Forces Veterans, Inc., you will have to provide your credit card billing information. This information is collected and transferred over the Internet using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology to our secure server. If you are donating, the credit card information that you provide at the time of donation is used only

 Use of Email Address:

When you donate to Armed Forces Veterans, you will be asked to supply your email address and other personal information. The information gathered from subscribers to US (including email address) is only available to employees managing this information for purposes of contacting you or sending you emails based on your request for information and to contracted service providers and vendors for purposes of providing services relating to our communications with you. We do not sell or rent email addresses.

 Submitting Messages and Stories to us:

Through submitting a message of support, stories or other submissions through OUR website, third-party websites or advertisements, you grant us the right to edit your messages, stories and submissions in any manner, and to use and license others to use the same, or any portions, reproductions, derivations or versions thereof in any and all media, now known or hereafter invented (including, without limitation, radio, television, home video/DVD, merchandising, online internet and mobile services), in any manner, an unlimited number of times, in perpetuity, throughout the world, with or without charge or cost to end users or other third parties. User also grant us the right to use and license others to use messages, stories and submissions for promotion, publicity and/or marketing of Armed Forces Veterans or in any other manner as determined by us in our sole discretion.

This Site is not intended for distribution to, or use by, any person or entity in any jurisdiction or country where such distribution or use would be contrary to applicable law or regulation. By offering this site and Content no distribution or solicitation is made by us  to any person to use the Site or Content in jurisdictions where the provision of the site and/or content is prohibited by law.

Monitoring and Moderation of Site Content

You acknowledge and agree that WE have the right to monitor the Site and/or to moderate Content and to disclose any information as necessary or appropriate to satisfy any law, regulation or other governmental request, to operate the Site, or to protect itself or other users of the Site. WE however have no obligation to monitor or moderate content on the Site.

WE may monitor emails or other communication between our members on the Site. WE reserve the right to restrict any member's activities on the Site that deems to be in breach of this or any other Armed Forces Veterans, Inc.’s Agreement or policy.

WE cannot control and have no responsibility for the accuracy or availability of any information provided on these Third-Party Sites. Links to pages on Third Party Sites does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation by us of such sites or the content, products, advertising or other materials presented on such sites. We present these links purely as a convenience to you and you access them at your own risk. In addition, we make no warranties or representations as to the security, reliability or integrity of any Third-Party Sites.

None of Armed Forces Veterans, Inc., any of its affiliates, providers or their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, independent contractors or licensors (referred to collectively as the " Armed Forces Veterans parties") guarantees the accuracy, adequacy, timeliness, reliability, completeness, or usefulness of any of the content and we DISCLAIM liability for errors or omissions in the content.

This site and all the content are provided "as is", without any warranty, either express or implied, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement or title. Additionally, there are no warranties as to the results of your use of the content. We do not warrant that the site is free of viruses or other harmful components.  Limitations of Liability & Warranties.

In no event shall the Company, its officers, directors, employees, shareholders, parent corporations, subsidiaries or affiliates, be liable in connection with your use of any of the Services for punitive, reliance, or special damages, or for indirect or consequential damages, including but not limited to personal injury, lost profits or revenue or increased costs of operation.  Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Armed Forces Veterans Parties from and against any and all claims, losses, expenses, demands or liabilities, including attorneys' fees and costs, incurred by the Armed Forces Veterans Parties in connection with any claim by a third party (including any intellectual property claim) arising out of any materials and content you submit to, post to or transmit through the Site, or your use of the Site in violation of this Agreement or in violation of any applicable law. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Armed Forces Veterans Parties from any claim arising from a third party's use of information or materials of any kind that you post to the Site.

Other Armed Forces Veterans Agreements

This Agreement shall be subject to any other agreements you have entered into with Armed Forces Veterans. Should there be any conflict between this agreement and any other agreements then the agreement that has most recently been signed, executed or agreed to by the Member shall be taken as having precedence. Some sections or pages of the Site may contain separate terms and conditions of use which are to be taken as addition to the terms and conditions of this Agreement. In the event of a conflict, the additional terms and conditions will govern for those sections or pages or applicable service.

To access OUR services, you will also need to agree to receive notices, information and other disclosures in electronic form.

Waiver and Severability

Failure by Armed Forces Veterans, Inc. to enforce any of its rights under this Agreement shall not be construed as a waiver of those rights or any other rights in any way whatsoever. If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall fully be enforced  possible, and the remaining provisions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.

 Supersedes Previous Terms and Conditions

This Agreement supersedes any previous Terms of Use Agreement.

 Termination

This Agreement is effective until terminated by us. We may terminate this Agreement at any time without notice or suspend or terminate your access and use of the Site at any time, with or without cause, at our discretion with or without notice. This Agreement shall survive termination of your use or access to the Site. 

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement and all other aspects of your use of the Site shall be governed by the laws of the state of Pennsylvania, United States of America. You agree that you will notify Armed Forces Veterans in writing of any claim or dispute concerning or relating to the Site and give Armed Forces Veterans, Inc. a reasonable period to address your claim or dispute before bringing any legal action against Armed Forces Veterans, Inc.

Legally Required Disclosures

You should also be aware that there may be occasions where we are legally required to disclose information about you, such as in a response to (1) a subpoena, (2) to prevent fraud or (3) to comply with a legally permitted inquiry by a government agency or regulator. By registering with us, you consent to the release of your information such as, but not limited to, your full name, mailing address, telephone number and email address. Even if you have elected to opt out certain pieces of your personal information may need to be disclosed such as but not limited to your name, mailing address and telephone number.

Statute of Limitations

You agree that regardless of any statute of law to the contrary, any claim or cause of action arising out of or related the Agreement or to the Company must be filed within one (1) year after such cause of action arose or you will be forever barred.

WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS OF ANY KIND CONCERNING THE ACCURACY, SUITABILITY, OR SAFETY OF THE INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THIS WEBSITE OR ANY LINKED SITE FOR ANY PURPOSE. ALL SUCH INFORMATION IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND WITH SPECIFIC DISCLAIMER OF ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
